Hilary Druxman goes from RWB to RRC

Druxman (left) and her new RWB-inspired collection.

Hilary Druxman is bringing class to the class on Monday, Dec. 7.

The renowned, Winnipeg-based jeweller launched her RWB-inspired jewelry collection this week; next week she comes to Red River College to review work produced by the CreComm advertising majors for her Winnipeg airport location.

The majors have had just over a month to put together recommendations for implementing an Integrated Marketing Communications (ad and PR) campaign with creative (including new media) as its backbone.

As I write this, Hilary and her team - including CreComm grad Christa Mariash - are looking over the campaigns in book form, and will choose some of their favorites to see presented in person at the college next week.

I met Hilary Druxman at last year's Red River College Directions Business Conference, where she spoke about embracing risk, commitment, and adaptability as an entrepreneur.

I had a chance to speak with her at the RWB launch, and was blown away by her approach to creativity and the seriousness with which she's reviewing the students' work.

The pictures in this post are from her RWB launch event in the Exchange District, just a couple of blocks away from the college's downtown campus. You can buy pieces from the collection online here.

Next week, Druxman launches her jewelry commissioned by the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. I wrote about the RRC Business Conference and Druxman opening the airport location here.
